Elizabeth Winnel was born in Scarborough, Ontario in Canada in 1982. She grew up in the suburbs of Whitby, Ontario just outside of Toronto. Growing up, Elizabeth went to French Immersion school where she learned to speak fluent French and English. After highschool, she moved to London, Ontario where she lived for 4 years while she studied Fine Arts at Fanshawe College. After Fanshawe, she moved to Savannah, Georgia to earn a Bachelor of Fine Art in Illustration through the Savannah College of Art and Design. Currently Elizabeth lives in Savannah Georgia with her 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 snakes.

Elizabeth focuses her illustration on women and children. She has a passion for communicating feelings and emotions through through her characters and hopes to connect with others through her paintings. For Elizabeth, illustration and painting is all about a the dialogue with the viewer that can be achieved through image making.
